Tokyo University of Foreign Studies

Hi, people, I'm back! These are the photos taken in the campus of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (東京外国語大学) - or TUFS in short - where the Japanese study foreign languages and where us foreigners, both undergraduates and research students, study Japanese before being admitted into Japanese universities.

It's situated in Fuchu-shi (府中市), which is to the west of Chofu-shi (調布市). 5 minutes' walk from Tama station (多磨駅); 20 minutes' walk to Tobitakyu station (飛田給駅).

The entrance to TUFS. Our dormitory (International House) is just behind it.

The eastern side of TUFS, taken from the seventh floor.

The field is just next to the International House. Baseball and soccer are popular sports here.

The building far behind the field is the police academy, off campus, of course.

This path leads to the gym.

Another view from the opposite side.

This path that leads to the Japanese Language Centre (JLC), the cafeteria, the library, and the west entrance.

Another view from the opposite side.

The bulding which looks like a chimney's the cafeteria.

The backview of the cafeteria.

The building for Foreign Studies and the main administrative office.

Apparently, Japanese appreciate works of art. There're sculptures everywhere, even in the library (which has an entrance that looks like an art gallery). But, more on that later.

These are the photos of an open space near the east entrance where functions are held sometimes.

じゃまた (Ja mata), more photos coming up!
